Martin Polaine developed a detailed Action Plan for the implementation of the Recommendations of the ‘Assessment of Institutional and Legal Frameworks of the Asset Recovery system in Bulgaria’.
The purpose of the proposed Action Plan was to provide for framework for the implementation of the Recommendations made by a Council of Europe assessment team that visited Sofia, Bulgaria, between 2 and 4 February 2015 in order to assess Bulgaria’s asset recovery framework and compare it against international standards as reflected in the principal international instruments and initiatives (Financial Action Task Force Recommendations; the United Nations Convention Against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances; the United Nations Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime; the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism; and the United Nations Convention against Corruption).
