Martin Polaine & Arvinder Sambei were invited as guest speakers by the London Centre of International Law Practice (LCILP) for their webinar on ‘Humanitarian Access & Assistance: Has law been outpaced by harsh reality?’
The webinar examined the overarching legal framework for humanitarian assistance, the obstacles & challenges faced in the various theatres of conflict with a particular focus on Syria and Yemen. The discussion, hosted by Dafi Stoilova (Associate, LCILP) then considered the explored the safeguards provided by IHL and IHRL and considered what changes, if any, are needed to the existing framework.
