Amicus, in partnership with the National Institute for Internal Control of Romania (other partners include Mazars, Dentons, Bureau van Dijk, Transilvania Bank, EBRD & Strands) held a one day discussion forum aimed at the financial sector in Romania and worked through the issues and challenges on internal control including the risk appetite in the banking sector, understanding and identifying beneficial owners and cyber security.
Martin Polaine of Amicus gave a presentation on financial de-risking that continues to raise concerns at the international level given the low risk appetite of the financial sector and other professional services that serve as gatekeepers. He also addressed risk management and, in particular, the sort of issues that the financial sector should consider in light of Brexit.
Our partner, INCIS, is an independent and autonomous professional organization, private legal entity, having as core objectives to promote, to represent, to organize, to coordinate and to develop the identity and public recognition of the internal control practitioner profession in Romania.
