The International Development Law Organization (IDLO) engaged Arvinder Sambei to develop materials for a mock trial, based on a fictitious terrorism case. The materials included case report, proofs, witness statements, evidence, exhibit logs, notes to mentors, judges, prosecutors and defence attorneys and coaching materials for the mentors.

The purpose of the mock trial was to allow the criminal justice agencies to rehearse soft skills (advocacy, oral submissions and more widely, court etiquette) within the context of a terrorism scenario.

The event took place in September 2020 in Mogadishu.
