Martin Polaine gave the keynote address at the LCILP workshop for professionals in the humanitarian sector: in particular, charities and NGOs. The workshop was led by the Former Senior Operational Manager & Former Senior Diplomatic and Legal Advisor at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Dr. Patrick Zahnd and discussed the application of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and the issue of humanitarian access to protected persons in Non-International Armed Conflict (NIACs) in the Middle East.
