Arvinder Sambei of SP led the discussions of prosecutors at the Ninth Regional Workshop for Judges, Prosecutors, and Police Officers in South Asia on Effectively Countering Terrorism held in the Maldives. The event was jointly hosted by the Government of the Republic of the Maldives and the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), and organized by the Global Center on Cooperative Security.
The prosecutors working group discussed tools for enhancing the capacity of prosecutors to handle counter-terrorism cases, in particular, the national in-house training programmes for specialists as well as junior prosecutors.
To consolidate the discussions held in each of the groups (police, prosecutors and judges), SBP designed and facilitated a case study to identify areas of learning in special investigative means.
