Amicus Legal Consultants is pleased to announce that its director and co-founder, Martin Polaine MCIArb, FAiADR, has been invited to become one of the first Fellows of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AiADR). Martin said he was ‘extremely honoured and privileged to be invited by AiADR to join as a Fellow, the highest membership class of the Institute.’
AiADR was launched in Kuala Lumpur on 6 May 2018 and is the first ‘not-for-profit, member-based centre for alternative dispute resolution (ADR), dedicated to promoting the practice of ADR through affordable and accessible education, and development of the profession across Asia, Africa and its neighbours’
AiADR will serve a platform to build capacity through training and networking opportunities to promote ADR with a special focus on Asia and Africa, as today’s emerging markets.
Martin is a practising barrister and has been actively involved in capacity building, technical assistance and training projects in Asia, Africa and globally for over 20 years, He regularly provides training for arbitration practitioners in Asia and welcomes the opportunity of being engaged, at the outset, with the AiADR and developing its programmes along with other AiADR Fellows and members.
