Martin Polaine was engaged by the Commonwealth Secretariat to carry out a review of the Seychelles Anti-Corruption Act and assess it against international best practices (legislative and institutional). The review and gap analysis examined the relevant legal frameworks, along with the functions of Anti-Corruption Commission of Seychelles (ACCS) and made recommendations on bringing the law in line with international benchmarks, as well as highlighting practical considerations for the Commission in its role as an investigative body. An addendum to the report included an examination of the recent proposed changes in Seychelles.
